we ate sandwhiches while we waited for the wind to turn.
we walked over rocks that knew the colours of the sun.
kissed by the lagoon.
waded into a sea of jellyfish, who im sure were chattering in their luminescent language
and dove beneath the glassy surface into a kaleidoscope of fish
saw the funeral of a sting-ray.
we lost our clothes amongst the cliffs
stepped into liquid. skin and salt
laughed at our own youth
but felt like mermaids.
slept like lizards on beds of pebbles.
left paradise with the dying sun.
